OUR VISION

Our Vision is to impact the world with the Good News of Jesus; by equipping the church to follow God passionately, love people authentically, serve others generously, and share the Gospel boldly.

  • FOLLOW GOD PASSIONATELY

Obedience is the highest form of worship. As Christians, we are little Christs, empowered by the Spirit to follow and become more like Him. He has given us His Word to direct us, His Spirit to empower us, and Himself to us, so that we can have an abiding relationship with Him. We learn to surrender and depend on His will and ways as He transforms our hearts, minds, and lives. (Mat 16:24, John 15:1-17, 2 Pet 1:3-11)

  • LOVE PEOPLE AUTHENTICALLY

Romans 12:10 tells us to love one another with "genuine affection." Love is the most central fruit of a Christ follower because it is the central heartbeat of God himself. God loves His creation, and He has designed us to love those around us with the love that He has given us. Love is hard work – it means being committed to one another, not letting differences divide us, but making every effort to keep the unity. When we love each other authentically, we create a safe environment for spiritual and relational health to grow and flourish. (Rom 5:8, Rom 12:9-13, 1 John 4, John 13:34-35)

  • SERVE OTHERS GENEROUSLY

The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. God is like a good father who provides for His children. He has given us all that we have – our time on this earth, our gifts and talents, and our tangible resources. He has given these things not just for our enjoyment, but to leverage for the sake of loving and serving others. He calls us to a life of sacrificial generosity – of our time, talents, and treasures – trusting Him to care for us and provide all that we need. (Mat 20:25-28, Luke 10:25-37, 2 Cor 9:6-11, Gal 5:13, Rom 12:1-2, Col 3:23-24, Mal 3:10 Gal 6:7-10)

  • SHARE THE GOSPEL BOLDLY

The love of Christ compels us to share His love with those who don't yet know Him. Followers of Jesus are the means by which the Good News spreads throughout the world. God has rescued and redeemed us to be His ambassadors to those around us. As Jesus transforms us, we display and declare the story of how He is changing us to others. He has placed us in our workplaces, neighborhoods, schools, and communities to be an image of His Kingdom to those who don't yet know Him. (Mat 28:18-20, Rom 1:16, 2 Cor 5:14-21, Jer 29:4-7, Rom 9:10-15, Col 4:5-6)

  • The Bible is God’s Word. It reveals the nature and character of God culminating in the person and work of Jesus and The Good News of His Kingdom. We get to know God through His Word, we learn to align our life with His ways, by following Him. (John 1:1, 2 Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12, James 1:22-25, Rom 15:4, Psalm 119)

    MESSAGE LINK

  • God is not far away. He is close, invested and involved. He has designed us to live interconnected with Him in a relationship. Prayer is how we practice dependence; not informing Him of things, but growing in our relationship with Him by expressing our heart, desires, needs, and love. Like children, we bring our needs and the needs of others, to our loving Father who knows us intimately. (Phil 4:4-7, 1 Thess 5:17, Rom 8:26, James 5:16, Mat 6:9-13)

    MESSAGE LINK

  • Jesus is what true humanity looks like. He is the ideal as God has designed and desires for us. We follow Jesus to become like Him. Being a Christian is not just about growing in Biblical knowledge; it is about Spirit empowered life change. We are transformed as we learn, surrender, obey, and follow Him. (Rom 12:1-2, 2 Cor 3:16-18, John 14:25-27, Ez 36:25-27, 1 Peter 1:3-4)

  • Worship is so much more than the songs we sing on Sunday. At its core, worship is a whole life of responsiveness to God. Romans 12 teaches us that in light of God’s mercy, the only reasonable response for us would be to give all we are as a “living sacrifice”. We worship in how we obey, serve others, sacrifice, live generously, and surrender to the will and ways of Jesus. (Rom 12:1-2, John 4:21-24, Isaiah 1:11-17, Eph 5:19, Heb 12:28,Psalm 51:15-17, 1 Peter 2:5, James 1:27)

    MESSAGE LINK

  • In our brokenness, our tendency is to present a version of ourselves that is most acceptable to us and to those around us. But the truth is, we can’t move towards health until we are willing to acknowledge what is broken, hurting and messy. As a church family who is following Jesus, we want to practice being authentically who we are, and where we are at with The Lord and one another. We also want to be a safe place for people to be messy, and yet led towards healing, restoration and growth. At Cornerstone we focus on three primary areas of health and growth: emotional, spiritual, and relational. (2 Cor 13:5-6, 1 John 1:9, James 5:16, Gal 5:1, Mat 6:23, 1 Tim 4:16, 1 John 3:18, Rom 12:3, 1 John 1:8)

  • Of all the ways that the Bible describes The Church, the most common image is that of a family. God has designed us to live as a family, interconnected with one another in meaningful relationships. If we truly want to grow to be like Jesus and impact our world with The Gospel, then we need each other. We need each other's love, challenge, care, encouragement, friendship, and fun. We also believe that leadership is better as a community! We are committed to a plurality of leadership; which offers better balance, protects against a singular personality, and allows the multiplicity of gifts to lead, care for, and shepherd the church. (Acts 2:42-47, Heb 10:24-25, Gal 6:2, Rom 12:4-8, Mat 18:20, Phil 2:3-4, Col 3:13, John 15:12-13)

    MESSAGE LINK

  • Jesus gave us a clear call as His followers that wherever we go we are to make disciples of Him. This means that all of life is invested in the mission of Jesus, in our homes, workplaces, schools, community, etc. He has purposefully placed us and provides opportunities for us to display His love and grace,We display His love and grace in how we serve, as we declare that He is Lord and Savior, inviting people to taste and see His goodness, grace, and love. Every follower of Jesus is a missionary for Jesus. (Mat 28:19-20, Jer 29:4-7, Act 1:8, Mat 24:14, Ps 96:3, Mat 5:13-16, Isaiah 52:7, Rom 1:16, 2 Cor 5:14-21, Rom 9:10-15)

    MESSAGE LINK

  • Cornerstone is not about us! We want to build a Gospel legacy that echos for generations. We are devoted, not to just adding people to The Church, but intentionally multiplying followers of Jesus: leaders, pastors, missionaries, and churches, both locally and globally. (Gen 1:28, Eph 4:12-16, Acts 12:24, 2 Tim 2:1-2, Titus 2:1-8, 1 Cor 3:5-9)
